The Sufi is a low sofa. It comes as a combination of 2 or more cushion seats over a wood or metal platform with two back pillows and a bolster. (shown here as a 2-piece sofa).
The sofa name is derived from the arabic work "sufi", that who practices sufism. the word is associated with serene living, minimalism, spirit of sharing and giving, in touch with earth and respectful of the natural order of things. the sufi usually dresses in white and has an appealing air of calmness and wisdom.

About the style: the style of this sofa seat is inspired by the traditional Moroccan "Estarmia", which is usually a set of 2 large pillows, one pillow to sit on and the other pillow to lean your back on. You would find the "estarmia" at the traditional moroccan living room. this low seat is often used by the person who prepares the tea for the guests in the living room. it is also used when one would like to sit closer to the floor and stretch one's feet or when in a state of meditation.
