Old Pottery Jar

Part of a collection of old terra cotta pottery jars from North Africa. This style of pottery is made by Berber women in the Middle Atlas in Morocco. Made for personal use in remote mountain villages. The design usually incorporates tattoos and symbols indigenous to the local tribe.
