Old Moroccan Clay Jar

Part of a collection of old terra cotta pots and clay jars from the North of Morocco. This style of pottery is made by women in the Middle Atlas. Made for personal use in remote mountain villages. The design usually incorporates tattoos and symbols indigenous to the local tribe.
